Coming Home by Kay Healy

It all started with a yellow plastic salad spinner. Seeing it at a garage sale of items from her childhood home made artist Kay Healy realize the power of nostalgia. Mining memories of the past, she employs quilting, muslin, and water-based ink to craft panels portraying domestic interiors. Her Coming Home, completed with the help of volunteer sewers, joins four of her other pieces at Wilmington’s Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts on December 7.
