Luceplan’s Breakthrough Costanza Lamps by Paolo Rizzatto

For Elvis, it’s

Heartbreak Hotel

. For

Luceplan

, it’s Costanza. The manufacturer’s breakthrough, in 1986, this series of lamps by Paolo Rizzatto has now sold more than 1 million units—and spawned countless imitations. In celebration of such longevity, Rizzatto teamed up with Studiopepe founders Chiara Di Pinto and Arianna Lelli Mami to develop two new color families for the polycarbonate shade. The Radieuse group embraces dynamic Primary Red, Smart Yellow, Petroleum Blue, Liquorice Black, and Concrete Grey. Mezzo Tono’s painterly range of options are Comfort Green, Mystic White, Soft Skin, Shaded Stone, and Edgy Pink. For the adjustable aluminum stem, a matte off-white joins the previous matte black or brushed aluminum finishes.
