Arcturis

Arcturis has acquired Square Feet Studio, an Atlanta-based architecture, interiors, and urban placemaking practice, which will operate under the co-brand “Arcturis | Square Feet Studio.” The merger combines Arcturis’s nearly 50 years of human-centered design leadership with Square Feet Studio’s 25 years of award-winning placemaking across hospitality, food and beverage, adaptive reuse, and multifamily interiors. Square Feet Studio co-founders John Bencich and team bring notable projects including Atlanta’s White Provisions and Star Metals Districts and the Ramblin’ Reck Garage at Georgia Tech. The St. Louis-based firm, licensed in 48 states, gains expanded capabilities in the Southeast market.

MKDA

MKDA has appointed Roberto Espejo as principal of its Miami office to co-lead the studio alongside Jarad Kleinberg, who brings over 15 years of firm-wide strategy and business development expertise. Espejo, a Yale-trained architect with over 40 years of international experience, spent 23 years at Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects working on iconic projects including Miami’s Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts and Coca-Cola’s Latin American headquarters in Mexico City. Additionally, MKDA Stamford has appointed Damion Martin as senior project manager. Martin brings over 20 years of commercial architecture and project management experience, most recently serving as senior project director at CPG Architects, where he led multidisciplinary teams on award-winning high-profile commercial projects.

Jonathan Adler

Jonathan Adler has appointed Mary Beth Sheridan as president, effective immediately. Sheridan brings over 20 years of merchandising and brand strategy experience, most recently serving as chief merchandising officer at Anthropologie Home & Beauty and later at The Children’s Place. At Anthropologie, she led the transformation of home, gift, and beauty divisions into high-growth pillars and oversaw merchandising, digital strategy, design, and product storytelling across DTC channels. She has also held senior leadership positions at Macy’s and Lord & Taylor. The appointment follows Consortium Brand Partners’ acquisition of the iconic home décor brand in December 2024.

Mazzarini & Co.

Mazzarini & Co., formerly BHDM Design, has launched its new identity under the leadership of principal and creative director Dan Mazzarini. The rebrand reflects the New York-based firm’s evolution while honoring its roots in narrative-driven, hospitality-forward design, drawing on Mazzarini’s formative years as a director at Ralph Lauren. Since founding the studio in 2012, the firm has worked across four continents with clients including Ralph Lauren, Waldorf Astoria, Google, and One Medical, while revitalizing historic landmarks such as Grand Central Terminal and the Harvard Club of New York. The design house will continue expanding across hospitality, workplace, and residential sectors.

Tim Barber Architects

Tim Barber Architects has promoted Ari Engelman, AIA, NCARB, and Katie Peterson-Hesketh to principal architects, effective October 1, 2025. Engelman brings over 15 years of experience on commercial and institutional projects with a focus on educational spaces and expertise in large-scale, complex projects. Peterson-Hesketh joined the firm in 2012 and holds a Master of Architecture from UCLA, bringing expertise in modern and historic residential architecture and knowledge of the Mills Act Historical Property Contract Program. The promotions follow Kelly Becker and David Stone’s elevation to principal at the start of 2024, as the Los Angeles-based firm enters year seven of a 10-year succession plan.

Corgan

Corgan has acquired Cooper Robertson, a New York City-based design firm known for master planning, architecture, landscape design, and urban design. Cooper Robertson’s notable work includes Princeton University Art Museum, Studio Museum in Harlem, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Hudson Yards, University of Miami, Gateway Arch Visitor Center, and New Museum. The acquisition merges Corgan’s global expertise in aviation, education, high-rise, and interiors with Cooper Robertson’s civic, campus, education, and urban planning strengths. The combined firm will offer expanded services from master planning and urban strategy to signature buildings and landscape interventions, strengthening presence in the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic corridor.

Woods Bagot

Woods Bagot has appointed Anne Fletcher as strategy leader, North America, based in Los Angeles. Fletcher brings over 30 years of experience and a strategic, human-centered approach to architecture and design. A former managing principal at HOK, she is widely recognized for leadership in sustainability and diversity advocacy within the profession. Fletcher champions regenerative design, emphasizing that buildings should improve sites, generate energy, and contribute positively to their environments rather than simply minimizing harm. In her new role, she will guide strategic initiatives across Woods Bagot’s North American operations.

Mayer Fabrics

Mayer Fabrics has welcomed Brenda Coté to the Southern California A&D territory. Coté brings over 30 years of experience in interior design product sales, representing fabrics, furniture, wallcovering, and flooring. An active member of IIDA and NEWH, she is known for participating in creative industry collaborations and workshops that inspire connection and innovation. In her new role, Coté will serve the architecture and design community throughout Southern California, expanding Mayer Fabrics’ presence in the region.

Beyer Blinder Belle

Beyer Blinder Belle has elevated Nathaniel Rogers to partner. Rogers joined the firm in 2011 and has skillfully led transformative renovation, expansion, and adaptive reuse projects for top-tier education and arts institutions including Harvard University, Vanderbilt University, Phillips Exeter Academy, and the Society of the Four Arts in Palm Beach. His promotion from principal recognizes his consistent leadership, commitment to the firm’s mission to empower people through design, and ability to navigate projects across multiple scales, from interior design to deep energy retrofits in historic structures and long-range campus planning. Rogers is known for understanding client perspectives and communicating complex design ideas to broad audiences.

Ware Malcomb

Ware Malcomb has promoted Bill Sotomayor to vice president, based in the firm’s New York office. Sotomayor opened the Ware Malcomb New York office as regional director in 2014 and was promoted to principal in 2021, leading the office’s growth with his regional knowledge and business development expertise. In his new role, he will focus on building global and national relationships and accounts while supporting the firm’s expanding national presence. A New York Institute of Technology architecture graduate, Sotomayor is a founding member of the Knights of York nonprofit, past Chairman of the National Hispanic Business Group, and CoreNet Global member.
