But artisanal hardware that melds well with a range of aesthetics is rare. Rocky Mountain Hardware, the leading manufacturer of bronze architectural hardware, set out to change that when it opened its doors in 1994. Now the industry-leading company continues to push the design realm forward with its newest collection, called Element.
The Element Collection features a minimalistic design that allows the beauty of art–grade bronze handles to elegantly punctuate any custom door. Each piece in the collection is available in a range of 12 hand-applied finishes, which are compatible with mortise lock functions, from entry through passage, with more than 150 handle options.

After more than 25 years in the business, the company also has the advantage of knowing what designers crave most—customization. Drawing on artisanal techniques, Rocky Mountain Hardware produces all of its creations—which include door and cabinet hardware, plumbing, and lighting—in the United States through a time-intensive manufacturing process, complete with finishing touches made by hand. This human-centric process eases the production of custom pieces.
