Stanley Barrows: 1988 Hall of Fame Inductee
Design educator Stanley Barrows was a faculty member at Parsons School of Design for more than 25 years, including a 12-year stint as the director of its European summer study program. After his career at Parsons and until his retirement in 1985, he was a faculty member at the Fashion Institute of Technology, and in 1979 he was named chairman of F.I.T.’s department of interior design. He became an honorary fellow of the American Society of Interior Designers in 1984 and received the Elsie DeWolfe award from ASID’s New York Metropolitan Chapter.
