Tile’s Growing Popularity Epitomized in Crossville’s Moonstruck Collection
“If you think you’re seeing more tile in commercial and residential spaces these days, you’re correct!”
Lindsey Waldrep, VP of Marketing for domestic tile manufacturer Crossville, explains the growing popularity of porcelain tile, referencing Crossville’s Moonstruck collection as an example.
“Better technology leads to more authentic, distinct looks and generous size options—not to mention exceptional performance characteristics—and that all leads to more specifications. With our Moonstruck line, you see really convincing striations, nuanced colors, and big size formats that speak directly to modern design sensibilities. It’s a great answer for all those things product specifiers are looking for.”
Crossville’s capability to blend tile making techniques—from digital print technology to longstanding methods of creating tile designs—makes it possible to capture “graceful striations” that mimic not only earthy, natural stone veining but visual details inspired by untouched lunar surfaces, as well.
“The effect we’ve achieved is linear yet varied from tile to tile, grand in style but with subtle appeal. It’s this uniqueness that makes the collection right for so many applications,” Waldrep shares.
Moonstruck comes in five colors ranging from cool to warm tones, each available in unpolished and polished finishes. The color names—Juno, Luna, Kosmos, Gemini and Apollo—come from lunar missions, in homage to the line’s celestial inspiration. Field tile size options are 12”x 24” and Crossville’s first 18’x 36” offering. The collection comes with a 4”x24” bullnose trim.
Moonstruck is recommended for interior floors, walls, countertops, and exterior walls. As with all products produced at Crossville’s Tennessee facilities, Moonstruck is made using third-party certified, sustainable processes, is Green Squared certified, and contains a minimum 4% recycled content.
