YoDezeen Opts for Sleek Aesthetics in Kiev ReFuture Clinic
Medical facilities must be sterile, but that doesn’t mean their design needs to be. Case in point: the ReFuture Clinic in Kiev, Ukraine, a 2,900-square-foot esthetic clinic with interiors by locally-based YoDezeen.
“We were inspired by new technologies both in architecture and in medicine,” says Artem Zverev, YoDezeen’s CEO and chief architect of the project. A green wall in reception replaces the standard pile of thumbed-over magazines, and Nazar Bilyk’s “Rain” sculpture nearby offers further soothing.
The refined palette is focused on travertine, which the team of more than 40 contractors not only used for a bold staircase concealed within tinted glass, but also to camouflage rows of filing drawers behind the custom stainless-steel desk. Travertine floors create an elegant stage for the clinic’s state-of-the-art medical devices, which ReFuture is eager to introduce to Kiev’s populace in the comfort of meeting rooms that eschew hospital white-on-white for hospitality-inspired luxury.
