10 Highlights From Biennale Interieur 2016

The 25th edition of the cool and quirky Biennale Interieur just wrapped up in the northern Belgian town of Kortrijk. The show was curated this year by Brussels-based firm Office Kersten Geers David Van Severen in partnership with artist Richard Venlet and graphic designer Joris Kritis. With the theme “Silver Lining – Interiors,” this edition marked a return to the Biennale’s roots with a focus on full-scale interiors.

Spread over two sites, the main venue was the city’s Xpo trade fair site that was reinterpreted and redesigned for the occasion. The other main venue was the city’s recently redesigned Texture museum, which contained additional exhibitions and a Berlin-style nightclub.

The result was an appealing mix of commercial products and conceptual ideas and installations. From the logo to the staff outfits, five themed cafes, and glossy show catalogues, every aspect of Interieur was carefully curated, making the show an immersive design experience.

Here are a few of the launches, products, and installations that caught our eye.
