National Office Furniture Appoints Kourtney Smith as President
Kimball International has appointed Kourtney Smith as president of subsidiary brand National Office Furniture, succeeding Kevin McCoy. A 25-year veteran of Kimball International, Smith started in customer service before becoming vice president of marketing for National Office Furniture in 2010, and was appointed president of Kimball Hospitality five years later.
In her new role, Smith will be responsible for fostering growth and profitability for National Office Furniture. “Smith’s customer-centric leadership, proven ability to assess the needs and trends of our markets, and ability to develop talent and drive results are key attributes to continuing to build success at National,” says Kimball International chief operating officer Don Van Winkle. “Kourtney’s most recent experience in the executive leadership role at Kimball Hospitality further broadened her strategic planning capabilities and positions her for success in this new role.”
Succeeding Smith as president of Kimball Hospitality is Kathy Sigler, who will also serve as vice president of Kimball International. Sigler most recently served as vice president of operations for Kimball International, where she oversaw the strategic and day-to-day execution of all direct manufacturing and manufacturing support functions. Sigler, who joined Kimball Hospitality in 1992, has worked in customer service, master scheduling, sales operations management, demand management, and program management.
“Kathy’s breadth of experience and pattern of success makes her an excellent choice for this executive leadership position,” says Van Winkle. “She has a unique blend of talents in operational excellence, complex project management, and customer centricity, which are so important to this industry.
