Crowds Gather at 10th Annual Opening Night at the A&D Building
New York’s Architect and Designers Building (A&D) partnered with Interior Design to host its 10th annual Opening Night during the city’s Design Week, featuring showroom debuts, product introductions—and plenty of food and drink. The evening’s notable showroom openings were Cosentino Surfaces, Fisher & Paykel, J|Geiger Shading Technology and a special preview of the Sub-Zero|Wolf space on the fifth floor.
The celebrations also included a silent auction and raffle to benefit Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA), comprising the McCollin Bryan Tinted Lens Table by Holly Hunt; a 72-inch diameter, hand-cut Neptune mosaic by Paris Ceramics; a AF/21 Naoto Fukasawa Design Faucet by Fantini; the Miele Complete C3 Brillant Vacuum by Miele; and an 8-by-10-foot Nice & Easy rug by Edward Fields. Also tempting visitors were 15 raffle items.
A center for leading luxury brands, the Architects & Designers Building debuts the season’s latest new products in kitchens and baths, appliances, building décor and home furnishings.
With more than 37 showrooms covering over 200,000-square-feet of space, the A&D Building has established Opening Night as a major event when design professionals gather to celebrate and view the newest the industry has to offer.
