Hundreds Gather at MoMA for the Inaugural NYCxDESIGN Awards Ceremony
Hundreds gathered at the Roy and Niuta Titus Theater at MoMA this past weekend to celebrate the honorees and winners of the inaugural NYCxDESIGN Awards presented by Interior Design and ICFF and sponsored by Haworth and Sherwin Williams. The captive audience of design industry professionals and their friends were joined by a global audience of thousands made possible by Interior Design‘s live broadcasts on Livestream and Facebook Live.
“We’re very proud and honored to be able to celebrate what’s so special about New York City,” remarked Cindy Allen, editor in chief of Interior Design and the event’s host. “It took three of us to make this happen,” Allen continued, bringing Ed Hogikyan, SVP of Marketing at New York City Economic Development Corporation, and Kevin O’Keith, SVP of ICFF, to the stage. “This is the global center of design,” declared O’Keefe. “Today’s event is a small kernel that will blossom into a powerful event that will be the envy of every design week in the world.”
Winners were named in over 30 categories across both Products and Projects and the award, custom-designed by award sponsor Lladró, was a resounding hit among winners and honorees alike.
