IIDA NY Leaders Breakfast Honors Hazel Siegel and Randy Fahey

Held on May 14, 2015, the 26th annual IIDA Leaders Breakfast rallied over 700 architecture and design professionals from New York and beyond. “What began as a one-off function,” says Rebecca Dorris Steiger, IIDA NY chapter president, “the Leaders Breakfast has now grown into a premiere, not-to-be-missed event for the New York design community.” Committee chairs Tom Polucci of HOK and Suzette Rhodes of Herman Miller created a successful event, with keynote speaker Paola Antonelli, senior curator of architecture & design, director of research & development for MoMA, discussing the influence design has on everyday experiences.

“Our Honorees Hazel Siegel (Atelier Hazel Siegel) and Randy Fahey (Gensler) were selected for their long-term involvement and contribution to the New York architecture and design community,” says Steiger. “Both have made their marks on design in New York on different paths, but they have ultimately come together to support our future colleagues with their leadership of the IIDA Knowledge Forum, creating programs for targeted student mentorship by working professionals,” she adds.
