Promemoria Hosts “Wish Raffle” to Benefit DIFFA
Promemoria’s New York showroom was the locale for the furniture manufacturer’s 2012 holiday party, where 200 of the leading designers, editors and design junkies came out to support the Design Industries’ Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA).
Since 1984, DIFFA has granted over $40 million to AIDS service organizations. This season, each designer made a a wish and a donation in order to enter a raffle for two remarkable prizes. Among the wishers was David Sheppard, Executive Director of DIFFA National, who wished for generous benefactors: “What a difference it would make if more companies like Promemoria added ‘doing good’ to doing good business!”
The party featured live jazz music and various treats, most notably panettone – a traditional holiday sweet bread from Northern Italy, where Promemoria is headquartered. There were also raffle prizes fit for the holiday season donated by generous sponsors: The MoMA VIP Experience, a deluxe holiday home entertaining package, 6 hand-blow tumblers by Promemoria and a $100 gift certificate to Eataly (just to name a few).
The party was the perfect start to the holidays, igniting happiness and charity throughout all, which Promemoria showroom manager Lizzy Schofield summed up beautifully: “We just want everyone to have a joyful, festive holiday season. We hope our party kicked that off!”
