Elisa Ossino Debuts Her New Designs for Amini Carpets
Milanese architect and interior stylist Elisa Ossino debuts a new rug design for Amini Carpets, an Italy-based brand with Afghan roots. Campiture’s simple asymmetrical design, akin to an irregular ashlar pattern, synthesizes a heady brew of concepts—geometry, spirituality, metaphysics—and parses the relationship between form and color, abstraction and figuration. Available in six colorways, the roughly 98-by-118-inch composition is knotted, washed, clipped, and carved by hand in India of New Zealand wool. It’s the perfect marriage of modern and traditional.
