Johnston Marklee Expands Biboni Collection For Knoll
After a wildly successful product launch, what do you do as an encore? For Sharon Johnston and Mark Lee of Los Angeles architecture firm Johnston Marklee, the answer was expansion. Following on the heels of their Biboni sofa and sectional for Knoll, the collection grows to include a lounge chair, an ottoman, and a one-arm sofa, among other pieces. They exhibit the same anthropomorphic design as the original and reflect the studio’s approach to shaping space through volume and curves. Moreover, the playful, bulbous shapes combine a subtle humor with a sense of formality. There is now a choice of a deeper seat depth for the sofa and sectional, too. All are upholstered in a bi-elastic fabric that’s offered in 20 colors. knoll.co
