Constance Guisset Creates a Poetic Vase for Bosa
“Where does this object take you?” asks designer Constance Guisset. Some see the delicate throat of a calla lily or brass trumpet; others, a dramatic Elizabethan ruff or a lion’s mane. One thing’s for sure, the flared collar around Fusca, Guisset’s vase for ceramics company Bosa, lends itself to poetic imaginings.
“The shape conveys many ideas, from nature to fashion,” she explains. The 13- or 18-inch high vessels come in a multitude of glossy colored glazes and precious metal finishes, in single solid hues—copper, Bordeaux, smoke gray, green gold, and blueberry among them—or with contrasting collars. All that’s left is to choose a complementary bloom.
