Ralph Pucci International Celebrates 70th Anniversary With Sculptural Exhibit
2025 Best of Year Winner for Exhibition/Installation
American verve met Brazilian sensuality under a warm Provençal sun when New York–headquartered lighting and furniture gallery/studio Ralph Pucci International mounted a summer show at the celebrated art and architecture park Château La Coste in Le Puy-Sainte-Réparade, near Aix-en-Provence, France. Installed in Oscar Niemeyer’s sinuous glass-and-concrete pavilion, the 4,260-square-foot exhibition “Pure” focused on sculptural works by a roster of artists and designers, fabricated in Pucci’s Manhattan workshop using Plasterglass—a proprietary composite that preserves the tactile character of plaster while being significantly lighter and stronger. The tables, chairs, and fixtures by such stars as Elizabeth Garouste, Patrick Naggar, and Paul Mathieu were left entirely white—hence the show’s title—emphasizing form and handcraft, right down to the artists’ original finger marks, while a curated soundtrack of cool 1950’s jazz celebrated the 70th anniversary of Pucci’s founding.
