Sean Woolsey Studio Fabricates Sleek Wooden Daybeds by Hand
As a Southern California kid, Sean Woolsey liked to use his hands, building skateboard ramps and tearing things apart to see how they were made. An apprenticeship with a woodworker helped him parlay that passion into a profession. He launched Sean Woolsey Studio with a simple desk he built for his girlfriend, now wife.
Offerings have since swelled to more than two dozen pieces including the daybed Relaxation Station. It’s built to order from locally grown and sustainably harvested black walnut. The platform’s through-wedged tenon joints support a memory-foam mattress with an adjustable bolster. For upholstery, choose a mossy velvet, tan leather, or COM.
