Terrazzo Stars in Norfolk Southern Corporation Remodel by IA Interior Architects

IA Interior Architects led a renovation of the Norfolk Southern Corporation building in Atlanta. The 1980’s architecture was in need of a rehab, which the firm achieved by transforming the large atrium into a more vibrant public zone. Wanting to respect the feeling of the original architecture while modernizing the space, the design team installed a high-polish terrazzo featuring mother of pearl, one-sided mirror, and marble aggregate over the existing natural stone. Sponsored by the National Terrazzo & Mosaic Association, Inc.
