For more than 25 years, Laura Guido-Clark’s mission has been to empower people and companies to live well with color. Her work emotively transports people and helps them understand color’s power to forge connections to products, physical spaces, and the world around them. Guido-Clark is a color educator and strategist who speaks internationally on the humanity of color and its impact. In 2011, she founded Project Color Corps™, a nonprofit organization dedicated to painting urban neighborhoods with color and pattern that impart positive messages of optimism and hope. Project Color Corps engages the community and professional designers to develop a design scheme that reflects their unique essence, creating a greater sense of ownership, empowerment, and pride. They employ professional painters and galvanize volunteers to roll up their sleeves and paint. Throughout this process, they teach students and community members the fundamentals of color, the connection between color and emotion, and how color can be transformative. The organization is now flourishing in four cities across the country. In 2017, Guido-Clark launched her groundbreaking color methodology called LOVE GOOD COLOR, which integrates science and the senses and enables designers to factor in emotive response when using color. It is a language-based system that facilitates selection confidence and efficacy while simplifying and reducing the number of iterations. They partner with organizations to move beyond the surface, using a patented methodology that aligns design with human need. The process ensures that palettes resonate with the emotional needs of clients, while turning color into a strategic tool for connection and bridging aesthetics and empathy to drive emotional satisfaction and sales. Their patented methodology and color system help designers navigate the psychological drivers of their audience, ensuring every color choice is a purposeful move toward human well-being.
