Antonio Citterio’s Multifunctional Accessories are at Home in Both the Kitchen and Bathroom
When Hansgrohe decided that its Axor brand needed a system of accessories that would be equally useful in the kitchen and the bathroom, a frequent collaborator, Interior Design Hall of Fame member Antonio Citterio, responded with a 12-piece suite of multifunctional add-ons in chromed brass. For example, the towel bars, in four lengths ranging from 15 to 35 inches, can double as rails for cooking implements. The toothbrush tumbler and soap dish, accented with mirror and frosted glass, can likewise handle small kitchen items. There’s also a shelf, a towel hook, and a dispenser for liquid soap, all multifunctional. It’s virtually only the toilet-paper holder that’s bathroom-specific. If chrome isn’t the right complement, finishes include brushed nickel, polished bronze, and gold.
