Armadillo & Co. Celebrates 10th Anniversary With Updated Agra Rug Collection in 10 Colors

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Armadillo & Co. is refreshing its Agra rug collection with 10 Abrash-overdyed colors ranging from hotly saturated saffron Byzantine to cool and collected taupe Pearl. Naturally occurring variations give the hues an antiqued, textured look. Each rug is designed in Australia under the direction of company founders Jodie Fried and Sally Pottharst and handmade in India, where artisans hand-spin wool and then hand-knot it into a soft pile using traditional methods. The brand is also expanding its charitable arm, the Armadillo & Co. Foundation, with grassroots initiatives such as education programs that aim to enrich the communities in which its artisans live. Now that’s worth celebrating.
