On June 21, the 40,000 members of the

American Society of Interior Designers

will welcome four new ASID Fellows into the fold: design legend

Barbara Barry

; ASID Foundation Board of Trustee member Julie Schulte of

Schulte Design Associates

; LuAnn Thoma-Holec of

Thoma-Holec Design

, who has revolutionized assisted living design across the country; and ASID CFO Rick Peluso.

“I am constantly amazed by the value interior design brings to mankind, helping us live better, work smarter, and enjoy life,” says Bruce Goff, FASID, ASID Fellows Council chairman. “These new inductees represent the best of those values, as well as being role models for the Society as a whole.”

The Fellow title is offered in appreciation for exceptional achievement in the design field. The 2013 Class of Fellows will be honored at “Celebration”, the Society’s annual awards ceremony held at

Dwell on Design

in Los Angeles.
