B&B Italia Becomes Majority Partner in Arclinea
Two leading Italian manufacturers are joining forces. Investindustrial, through B&B Italia, has agreed to become the majority partner of high-end kitchen manufacturer Arclinea. Silvio Fortuna, whose family is Arclinea’s current sole shareholder, will become president of the company. The Fortunas will continue to own a minority stake and manage the company’s operations.
“Arclinea has a strong reputation for exceptionally innovative and qualitative kitchen designs, and we see a perfect complementarity with B&B Italia’s current product offering,” notes Andrea C. Bonomi, managing principal of Investindustrial. “The combination is a great opportunity to strengthen the competitive positioning of the group in global designer furnishings.”
This partnership grants both brands the opportunity to accelerate their individual growth initiatives. B&B Italia will expand product offerings into the luxury designer kitchen segment, uncharted territory for the high-end indoor-outdoor furnishings manufacturer. The partnership will come into full effect by the end of September.
