Brian Wilson of Pair Wins Manufacturer Rising Star Award at HiP 2020

This year’s HiP winner for Manufacturer Rising Star is Brian Wilson, co-founder of Pair, a furniture company based in San Francisco that specializes in furnishings for flexible workspaces. Wilson, who has twenty years of experience in the industry, also is the co-founder of the Steelcase dealership Two Furnish

Wilson’s first introduction to design came about during a part-time job in high school at a boutique interior design firm. The job opened his eyes to the world of corporate interiors, resulting in his pursuit of a career in design. After earning a degree in Industrial Design at Pratt Institute, he worked abroad in Japan for Knoll. Through this experience, Wilson found his niche and passion in the furniture industry, where he has remained ever since. Wilson uses his experience in both business and design to develop first-rate workplace furniture built to provide users with adaptable levels of privacy.

Wilson’s current vision is to grow Pair into a national brand. He plans to establish showrooms in every major metropolitan area, and to “build a network of like-minded representatives that care about design and understand our design clientele,” he says. This HiP Rising Star is excited to take in new learning opportunities, given Pair’s upcoming collaborative projects, and to push forward the future growth of his young company.
