Building a Partnership: 2014 CODAawards Celebrate Multidisciplinary Design
Seamlessly integrating commissioned art with design, whether it be architecture, interiors, or landscapes, is the goal promoted and celebrated by the CODAawards. Interior Design covered their debut in 2013, when editor in chief Cindy Allen served on the jury. She did so again this year, joining 15 other experts including Hall of Fame member Deborah Berke, Parallel Design principal Ali Tayar, and Ilene Shaw, senior adviser to CODAworx, a Wisconsin organization that originated as the Collaboration of Design + Art. The jurors considered 366 projects from 32 countries, across 10 categories—that’s two more than last year: commercial, education, health care, hospitality, institutional, landscape, liturgical, public space, residential, and transportation. Following are the winners and merit-award recipients.
