Cut-Outs and Grids Inform Hella Jongerius’s New Danskina Rugs

Hella Jongerius’s Cross by Danskina.

Sometimes what’s not there is as important as what is. Consider both Cross and Cross Cut, two rugs by Danskina design director Hella Jongerius. The former is bordered by a short fringe of sorts, while the latter’s orderly grid terminates in intricate snowflakes. The hand-tufted wool-viscose comes in nine colors and in sizes up to 13 by 32 feet.
