Drive, in Overdrive: Dream Concept Cars At The High Museum
“Four-wheeled fantasies.” That’s how automotive expert and consulting curator Ken Gross refers to the 17 concept cars featured in “Dream Cars: Innovative Design, Visionary Ideas,” at Atlanta’s High Museum of Art through September 7. Among exhibit highlights are a French electric car from 1942 that’s never before traveled to the U.S., William B. Stout’s 1936 Scarab, considered to be the genesis of the minivan, and a 1951 watercolor by celebrated General Motors designer Carl Renner.
