Egg Collective’s Georgie Ottomans, Designed for the New York City Ballet, Now Available to All

Photography by Frank Oudeman/Otto.

In 2013, Stephanie Beamer, Crystal Ellis, and Hillary Petrie of Egg Collective designed a permanent yet adjustable seating series for Lincoln Center’s David H. Koch Theater, otherwise known as home to the New York City Ballet. Now, those items are available to all, no season tickets required. Dubbed Georgie after the ballet company’s co-founder George Balanchine, and the studio’s shop dog and mascot, the COM-upholstered trapezoidal or hexagonal ottomans pair perfectly with the equally angular Samuel side table. In satin or blackened brass, satin bronze, or blackened steel, the table’s finish is meant to patina over time, revealing a dance of wineglass rings and fingerprints.
