When B. Architecture refreshed Paris’s storied Fontenoy Building, they sought a stunning crown jewel to complement Andre Ventre’s original Art Deco–inspired interiors from the 1930’s. Under the firm’s direction, lighting manufacturer Secante designed and fabricated a custom LED chandelier with sheet metal specialist Dargaisse by sourcing 615 square feet of woven stainless steel and bronze mesh from Banker Wire. Using a lightweight intercrimp design in Banker Wire’s IPZ-25 pattern, the chandelier achieves a balanced stiffness and a high degree of reflective properties. The lobby’s centerpiece, it welcomes employees and visitors inside a serious space—services of the Prime Minister and other government institutions share office space above.
