Celebrate Interior Design’s 2025 HiP Awards Winners
Who took home a 2025 HiP Award? The secret is out! Interior Design‘s 12th annual HiP Awards ceremony unveiled the best of commercial design, honoring top products and people in the industry, at The Mart June 8. Hosted by Editor-in-Chief Cindy Allen, more than 350 designers, manufacturers, and creatives—including 30 First NeoCon attendees—filled the steps at Marshall’s Landing, celebrating friends and colleagues.
Honoring Top Products And People In Commercial Design
After a playful moment swaying to the evening’s beats, Allen kicked off the HiP Awards ceremony and applause filled the air. An enthusiastic “Welcome to HiP” revved up the crowd, then Allen turned the evening’s Product winners, a pool narrowed from 270 submissions. From Momentum Textiles and Wallcovering‘s eye-catching and artful collaboration with Rebecca Moses, which won a HiP Award for Hospitality Wallcovering, to Isomi‘s innovative Knit One Chair, which replaces foam with air to reduce material waste, taking home an Environmental Impact Hip Award, the 2025 winners showcase the industry’s immense range of creativity and innovation.
Not to mention, the hippest of the hip—Interior Design‘s HiP People winners, honoring industry luminaries. From Rising Stars to Leaders in various areas such as Workplace and Greater Good as well as manufacturer-specific categories, Allen offered insights into each HiP Award winner’s unique design journey, sharing how their childhood interests shaped their storied careers. As for the Designer Lifetime of Hipness Award, this year, Allen selected two standouts for the honor. Gensler design principal, EJ Lee, took home Lifetime of Hipness: East Coast while Primo Orpilla, cofounder and principal of Studio O+A, earned Lifetime of Hipness: West Coast.
“This has been such an amazing experience,” shared Omoleye Simmons, VP of design for Tarkett North America and HiP Creative Director winner. This year marked Simmons’s first time attending Interior Design‘s HiP Awards and in the words of Allen, wowza! What a memorable one for the books.
The positive vibes continued throughout the evening as winners, with their signature trophy in hand created by Formica, and honorees connected over cocktails following the ceremony, marking yet another successful celebration of groundbreaking design—and start to NeoCon.
