Cassina Revives Mario Bellini and Marco Zanuso Designs for 90th Anniversary

Anniversary festivities continue at Cassina as the 90-year-old company spotlights a spate of commemorative reissues in its SoHo showroom. Among the hot hits to resurface: Mario Bellini’s 932 armchair from 1964, which deconstructed the concept of upholstered furniture, paring the form to four independent cushions bound by a belt. The new version respects the original concept while gently updating proportions and engineering. Also returning is Lady Divano, Marco Zanuso’s chair for Arflex that claimed gold at the IX Milan Triennale in 1951. Modeled after automobile production, with each part manufactured separately and then assembled, the design also spawned a two-seat sofa. The reboots are available in fabric and leather.
