Interior Design Hosts Latest re:Source In Palm Springs, California

It’s always a good idea to go to Palm Springs—and it’s even better when the visit centers on design, connection, and innovation. That’s how more than 100 designers and manufacturers spent three days recently as they convened for Interior Design‘s latest re:Source event held at the La Quinta Resort & Club, which is celebrating its centennial.

Hosted from September 13-15, 2026, the biannual conference invites connection through organic conversations over curated dinners and activities, as well as intimate one-on-one sessions. Festivities kicked off with a keynote by AJ Paron, Sandow Design Group EVP and Design Futurist, which focused on improving collaboration between designers and manufacturers, from communication strategies to how sales reps can earn trust and elevate value. The group even worked toward developing new ‘rules of engagement’ to reduce friction during the design and specification process.

What most draws designers and manufacturers to the event is the ability to build lasting connections—fast. Throughout re:Source, attendees participated in roughly 1,000 targeted meetings, and there was plenty of time for fun, too. From an open-air jeep tour, thanks to Craftmade, to a tour of the San Andreas Fault, adventure was definitely on the agenda. As for those who preferred to nurture their artistic side, a painting activity enabled participants to explore the relationship between color and meaning while creating unique pieces to take home. Guests also had plenty of time to enjoy hotel amenities, including the pool, before wrapping each day with a must-anticipated dinner, complete with centerpieces provided by Williams-Sonoma, Inc.
