The most wild foldaway shelving unit we’ve ever seen and two swing chairs are among seven of our favorite new products in Objets Nomades, by the likes of Patricia Urquiola, Nendo, and the Campana Brothers.
Objets Nomades, Louis Vuitton’s sleek collection of foldable furniture and travel accessories, made a splash when it launched at Design Miami in 2012. Now the luxury leather good manufacturer has expanded the collection to a total of 16 products celebrating globtrotting, unveiled during the annual Salone Internazionale del Mobile last week in Milan.
While we don’t know how truly portable some of them are (unless you are on something similar in size to The Titanic), all of the items, incorporating Louis Vuitton’s signature high-quality leather, are a celebration of craft and innovation.
Seven of our favorites are rounded up here—from the most wild foldaway hanging shelving unit we’ve ever seen (think a vibrantly colored bird wrapped up in its wings) to a modern day lantern, not one but TWO swing chairs (don’t we all need one of those?), and a Hemingway-esque daybed.
