18 Designers Inform Mannington Commercial’s Design Local Collection

Sponsored by Mannington Commercial

Working with designers in Seattle, Nashville, and Philadelphia, Mannington Commercial has created the 2014 Design Local Collection—a collection of modular carpet inspired by each city, for projects from coast to coast.

Starting with a 24 hour design immersion, six designers in each city drew inspiration from the everyday. Equipped with cameras and sketchpads, they fanned out throughout their hometowns, in search of the patterns and colors that shape small moments, that make up the big picture. From weathering architecture to the juxtaposition of historic buildings with the randomness of nature. From the Seattle Public Market to Music Row, to Independence Park.

The result is a remarkable collection of richly textured modular carpets, full of the interplay of geometric and organic, emphasizing seamless changes in pattern and texture. In colors that are perfect for new corporate construction and renovation, as well as retail, higher education, hospitality, and even healthcare. Design Local 14 comes in an 18”x36” plank format, and is constructed with Antron Lumena premium 6,6 nylon.
