Memphis Group Returns With Post Crisis Fabrics by CoopDPS

It’s hard to believe that more than three decades have passed since the Memphis Group debuted at Milan’s Salone del Mobile. But that beat goes on, thanks to two of the collective’s founding members, Nathalie Du Pasquier and George Sowden, and their new firm, CoopDPS. Its debut effort, Post Crisis, is a collaboration with textile manufacturer ZigZagZurich, the collection’s tile referencing the aftermath of the 2008 financial crash. The impact, it seems, was graphic, as sharp geometrics mingle with abstract organics in a wash of bold primaries. Specify any of the 24 patterns as either woven upholstery fabric or a printed sheer, both in Trevira CS polyester, polyester wallcovering, cotton percale bed linens, or a woven cotton-wool blanket.
