New Lighting Technology from Flos

Contemporary lighting innovator

Flos

takes going green to task—literally—with the new Kelvin Green II task lamp designed by Antonio Citterio with

Toan Nguyen

.

The Kelvin LED Green lamp offers higher light output (max 325 lumens) at an incredibly low energy consumption rate (7.5W). A light sensor automatically regulates the light output by reacting to the brightness of the work surface it illuminates, reducing energy output and the need for manual adjustment. Meanwhile, with motion sensing technology, the lamp automatically turns off to save power when it senses no one is around.

“Only rarely in our profession do you conceive of and design a product that in one way or another will become an archetype. With the Kelvin LED project I have always been convinced that this is the case,” says Citterio. The Kelvin Green II is available in chrome, black, white and anthracite finishes and hits stores early fall.
