Step Into Nick Mele’s Photographic World In This Palm Beach Exhibit

You may have seen the irreverent, high-society snaps of fine-art and fashion photographer Nick Mele in the pages of Vogue and Town & Country—stereotypical WASP-like women posing with reptiles or smoking cigarettes against manicured foliage. Now, anyone (with an appointment) can immerse themselves in the rarefied world he’s known for conjuring in “Please, No Photos,” his exhibition of eight prints on display in Palm Beach, Florida, where he’s, fittingly, based. It’s specifically in the showroom of Caroline Rafferty Interiors, which worked with Mele as well as Brunschwig & Fils and Society Social, with both of which the photographer has collaborated on product collections, to fashion vignettes that would appeal to the most leisurely of ladies. “I like to do things that are unexpected, in places that are unexpected,” Mele says, “showing a comfort level with the extraordinary.”
