NKBA’s Suzie Williford and Others Honored at Hall of Fame Awards at KBIS
On the opening night of KBIS 2019, the National Kitchen and Bath Association named the most recent inductees to its Hall of Fame. The NKBA Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who have yielded their influence in the kitchen and bath industry to contribute to the growth and professionalism of the association.
NKBA Executive Vice President of Industry Relations and Chief Strategy Officer Suzie Williford was inducted into the Hall of Fame in recognition of more than a decade of service to the association. An industry veteran with over 35 years of experience, Williford has volunteered with the NKBA for well ver a decade and served 10 years on the board of directors. She also served as association president in 2009. The association named Williford’s work to grow its international reach through the NKBA Global Connect program as a key accomplishment that earned her recognition and induction to the Hall of Fame.
“I am truly humbled to be in the company of so many industry giants inducted before me,” said Williford. “I believe the only way to achieve success in any business is to surround yourself with good people. Together with our team at NKBA headquarters, we have accomplished so much in the last few years. They work so hard and have such devotion and enthusiasm to make sure each of our members gets to benefit from being a part of the NKBA. This is the best team ever, and I am thankful every day for the privilege to work with them.”
Additional Hall of Fame honorees included designer Ann Morris, who was recognized posthumously for her longtime support of the NKBA and is remembered for her lifelong love of color. Bill Woodall was also asked by the association to honor his father, Vent-A-Hood CEO William “Skip” Woodall III, who was inducted for his contributions as a 41-year member of the NKBA.
The event also recognized three 50 Years of Certification honorees—Robert M. Baker, Peter Knobel, and Theodore Bogusta—and presented the Chairman’s Award to John Petrie of Mother Hubbard’s Custom Cabinetry.
