Outdoor Studies: Mark Reigelman II Designs a Huge Picnic Table in Cleveland

This table can fit 100 people. It’s part of an effort by Cleveland’s Case Western Reserve University to connect students in unexpected ways. And who better than a local graduate to commission for the project? Cleveland Institute of Art alumnus Mark Reigelman II built The Great Picnic from a frame in powder-coated aluminum and planks of reclaimed Douglas fir, African mahogany, and other woods.
