Whether it was in the lobby of the Hotel Gansevoort New York, the casino of the Monte Carlo Las Vegas, or in a large retail setting, chances are that you’ve walked on at least one carpet from

OW Hospitality

. The designer and manufacturer of fine woven Axminster carpets is a global brand of the

Oriental Weavers

group, originally founded in 1980 in Cairo. Last night, the brand celebrated the opening of their brand new—and impressively sized—showroom in New York.

On the seventh floor of the Textile Building at 295 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, the 10,000 square-foot space showcases several tempting product lines. New for OW, a creative design center has also been created within the space with the intention of attracting a broader local design staff for the brand.

Michael Riley, president of Oriental Weavers, says, “The new expanded showroom is essential for us to cater more to the local New York design community. The spectrum of our product has broadened so much—we needed a bigger space to accommodate it.”

But the space is not only accommodating to the product. Guests of OW are greeted with a fully-stocked bar (which is arguably the primary feature of the showroom). Next on the OW to-do list? A new showroom for Las Vegas.
