Lexmark Carpet Mills, the Georgia-based manufacturer of broadloom carpet for hospitality, residential, and niche commercial markets, has appointed Paul Cleary as Chief Executive Officer. A 28-year veteran of the contract flooring industry, Cleary brings to the company a wealth of leadership in sales and marketing, product design, and business development—honed most recently during his 14 years at Mohawk Group as Senior Vice President of Commercial.

“As hard as it was to leave the Mohawk family, the opportunity to lead Lexmark, a fully integrated manufacturer with its own fiber supply, was a dream come true,” remarks Cleary. “Lexmark’s only commercial focus is hospitality, and as such, it emphasizes true ground-up design and flexibility to service that industry.”

At Mohawk, Cleary integrated their brands into a coherent Mohawk group offering while developing a clear and consistent brand package to resonate with designers. His new role will allow him to strengthen several key growth initiatives for Lexmark, who became fully integrated with the 2009 opening of their upgraded manufacturing facility in Dalton, Georgia.
