Remembering Mel Berkowitz

On July 5 Melvin J. Berkowitz, founder of Berco Inc., passed away. He is survived by his wife, Marion, his daughter, Maxine, his sons, Alan and Richard, and a company of dedicated employees.

A 50-year veteran of the Contract Industy Mr. Berkowitz was recognized early on for his development of an Independent Sales Agency and later for the development of Berco Inc. His inventiveness and entrepreneurial spirit brought about not only a number of innovative products but a company committed to carrying on his vision.
