RH Partners With Portia de Rossi’s General Public on 3-D Art Collection

Further cementing its ascendancy as a luxury lifestyle authority, RH has struck an alliance with General Public, the art curation and publishing company founded by award-winning actress and artist Portia de Rossi, for an exclusive line of 3-D reproductions of original works from a select roster of emerging and established artists across the world.

Historically, artists who desired to disseminate their works to a wider audience were limited to one-dimensional prints, which fail to recreate the depth, dimension and nuances of painting. But General Public’s proprietary Synograph process simulates brushstrokes on canvases with such detail that the duplications are virtually indistinguishable from the originals.

RH chairman and CEO Gary Friedman calls the technology “the first platform that truly amplifies the artist, enabling an authentic expression of their work to be experienced by exponentially more people.” Rossi says the collaboration with RH dovetails perfectly with General Public’s primary aim, adding, “They are true believers in our mission: Support Artists, Not Art.”

The inaugural General Public collection is featured prominently throughout the Spring 2018 RH Interiors and Spring 2018 RH Modern Source Books, including dedicated inserts containing profiles of the featured artists: Koen Lybaert of Antwerp, Kali Sanders of Los Angeles, Seb Sweatman of Johannesburg and Paul van Rij of Amsterdam. The line can also be viewed at select RH galleries in North America.
