Sybila Sorondo Expands to Interiors With Rugs for Nanimarquina

In the 1980’s, Sybila Sorondo gained fame for her colorfully playful fashion designs. Having recently restarted her label after a hiatus, she’s also expanding to interiors with her first rugs, flat-weaves for

Nanimarquina

. The collection’s name, Mélange, refers to the mix of fashion and home, tradition and modernity. Handwoven in Pakistan from Afghan wool, Zoom is a supersize harlequin, Stripes is a graphic runner, Color a grid of blocks, and Pattern a group of four geometric grids. Blend the options into sprawling patchworks, or use one for the cushion of a low stool with blond ash legs.
