Æquō And Kelly Wearstler Unveil Collectible Design Collections
Æquō, a contemporary collectible-design gallery based in Mumbai and Paris, connects global creatives with a network of Indian artisans to produce pieces rooted in vibrant craft traditions. Recent collabs include Los Angeles designer Kelly Wearstler, who conceived two collections of organic yet architectonic works, brought to life with craftspeople specializing in glass enameling, metal casting, and carpentry. Lahar reimagines a wavy, gridlike motif in solid cast bronze with glass-enamel inlays. The line encompasses an assortment of bar and chinaware cabinets as well as console, coffee, and drink tables plus lamps and accessories—all in soothing tones of bone, ocean, ebony, and steel. The Tarang series, by contrast, explores fluidity via a single typology—seating—each chair, bench, and stool hand-carved from burnt teak and edged in bronze, a finishing detail that ties back to Æquō’s broader vocabulary. aequo.in, kellywearstler.com
