Cristina Celestino Designs Lush Wallcovering for Misha
Nodding to French landscape designer and philosopher Gilles Clément’s vision of the planetary garden in which vagabond plants migrate in wild profusion around the globe, designer Cristina Celestino has created Cabana, a lush new artisanal wall covering
for Milanese manufacturer Misha. Enormous, imaginary flowers in vivid, unnatural colors sit against flat, repeated backdrops of ridged lines, vertical stripes, and micropatterns inspired by the world of textiles. A completely eye-popping landscape that mixes the organic with the geometric, its overall effect is of
a continuous dialogue between order and disorder. Hand painted on silk, Cabana is offered in two colorways—Golden Sky and Golden Beach—with the option of adding handmade metal-foil inserts for an even richer effect.
