Dims Debuts Table Lamp Inspired by Doric Columns
A table lamp inspired by Doric columns marks direct-to-consumer brand Dims’s lighting debut. The
company was founded in 2018 to provide high-quality sustainable items, designed by zeitgeisty
independent ateliers such as Ladies & Gentlemen Studio, without the high price tag. This neo-classical offering, 3-D-printed by Gantri, is by
Seoul’s Studio Word, from which the lamp takes its name. Crafted of an uber-ecofriendly custom material, corn polylactic acid (farm to table, indeed), Word’s fluting has a soothing sense of rhythm. During the day, Word is pure white—just like a marble column—while at night it comes to
life with a soft glow.
