Jamy Yang Turns to Science to Create a Surreal Rug Collection for Tai Ping
Designer and collector Jamy Yang took his cues from the world of science to create Transcendent, a rug collection that visualizes how the forces of gravity and time manipulate light and matter into dramatic patterns. The collection encompasses eight surreal designs—color striations manipulated to create other-worldly optical effects—in tightly edited color schemes, hand-tufted of materials including silk, wool, Lurex, and flax by the brand’s expert craftspeople.
