Mirror Mirror: Look Twice At This Reflective Optical Illusion
The 2-year-old label, its name an acronym for ready to hang, produces witty, fashion-forward pieces at an attainable price point. “Furniture and objects with personality shouldn’t be a luxury,” founder Jeffrey Benz states. The latest offering to encapsulate this approach: Stitch, a 6-foot-tall mirror that appears sewn to the wall, but is in fact an illusion, rendered via oak or walnut inlay. It’s a collaboration with David Vivirido and Francesco Sourigues of Madrid- and Brooklyn-based lifestyle brand Viso Project, which specializes in such surprising twists on familiar forms. The mirror is a perfect complement to the pair’s same-named mohair blankets, edged with real leather stitching. ready-to-hang.com
